Red Mango Wins By A Landslide Over California Berry

My first yogurt experience was with White Hat and I actually wrote about that already in my blog...I think 2 or 3 years ago. I was not really a big fan of yogurt but when my friend asked me to try frozen yogurt knowing that it is much healthier than ice cream...I did give it a try and my first taste of it was like heaven! I was glad that I chose the right combination of blueberry and cheesecake and since then that's what I choose for my toppings.
Trying new food label or brand is easier if you get discounts...am I right? So I tend to buy vouchers giving away up to 50% discount on products. I bought 4 vouchers of california berry at ensogo:
Only P65 on a Medium-sized California Berry Yogurt (plain or seasonal flavor) with 3 toppings at California Berry, multiple branches (valued at P130)
Sounds like a good deal right? So I bought it to see if this could match White Hat. First visit, they don't have plain yogurt so I was forced to eat the coffee flavor so I chose to add choco bits and small mallows...not that good. Next visit, I was expecting a better deal...I chose my fave blueberry and mangoes since they don't have cheesecake and again it easily melts, tastes a little sour and the toppings are not good. Even my kid did not enjoy it as you can see from his face..LOL.
The second yogurt voucher I bought was at Red Mango and I have heard a lot of good reviews from it so I was excited to get a taste of it to see if it would match White Hat.
Indulge in P300 worth of Red Mango for only P150, a delicious steal exclusively for Deal Grocer members.
Now this was a real treat! So I exchanged my voucher to gift certificates so I can use them in any branch. I liked the cozy design of the store in Trinoma located near the entrance. I ordered my favorite combination of blueberry with two cheesecakes just to consume my P300 (paid P150) which is good for 2 people.

Oh yes! First bite and I already fell in love with it just like what I felt when I first tasted White Hat. Everything blended perfectly..the taste, the texture and the fruity toppings. My mom agrees with me and my kid loved it also! Too bad I only bought 2 vouchers. I can't wait to use my remaining vouchers there and be happy again.

MyHealth Clinic Takes Care of My Health

Getting sick is a real pain in the *** but to wait for a long queue in discomfort and end up with a list of expensive medicines to  buy would definitely make anyone feel more sick! I was glad I have a health card from work so that lessens my worry about the check up and laboratory expenses. I usually go to Medical City Clinic in Trinoma and Waltermart for the check-up but my experience there was not really that good especially in Waltermart, Munoz. The nurses there and attendants seem so laid back (which is a better term for being lazy) and busy chatting with each other. I waited for a long time (around 30 min.) just to have my Maxicare approved and after that I went to the nurse's station to give my papers but the girl was busy on her phone so the guy beside her placed my paper on her table and told me to wait for my name to be called. So I waited for my name to be called and it was almost an hour. I was really wondering why it would take that long just to have my blood extracted ...

All Iz Good at 7107 IMF: Day 2

After a night of EDM and hiphop music, the next day of the 7107 IMF was expected to have a different crowd. This is my chance to bump into people my age unlike Day 1 where I felt like a wannabe teeny-bopper. haha! I can't even keep up with all the non-stop dancing and drinking like I used to during my techno rave days in Malate and Makati. We got to the venue around 2:30 pm and the front area of the stage was already crammed with people. There goes my chance of getting up close with the Red Hot Chili Peppers . But I still got my hopes high...even if the chances of meeting them were really slim. So we settled in the middle part, which we called our home base cos that's were we meet when we get tired of roaming around.  Since the only bands that I was interested in watching at 7107 IMF that night were Empire of the Sun and RHCP, I ended up hanging out with some of my pals who I haven't seen for years.  Finally! Some people I can relate to...and they luckily got t...

Yehey for Yedang Korean Restaurant

My sis invited us for dinner to celebrate the birthday of her hubby and when she mentioned Yedang...I got excited because I have read a lot of good reviews about this restaurant and was even planning to eat there for my birthday if I had a bigger budget..but unfortunately I ended up buying vouchers for a Japanese resto to save up. Since I passed by that place before, we decided to go there ahead of my sis because my kid was sleeping. The guard was really nice to help us get out of the cab to the restaurant even assisting us with an umbrella. There was a small bench near the entrance for guests waiting to be assisted for their seats. I requested for a table for us so we can sit comfortably while waiting. The venue was nice even adding a Christmas tree to give that holiday feeling. The table has a nice set-up offering chopsticks and spoon (not ordinary looking spoon so there is still that Korean feel to it). They served us water with a hint of pandan which made it taste more refreshing...
