Many Firsts on a Saturday

It was the first of many things last Saturday...
It was my kid's first ride in a bus and he totally enjoyed seeing the big tv and having the aircon on top of his head....
It was his first time to hang out at the hotel....
He is everywhere...sitting on the table and chillin on the bed

Staying at the hotel won't be complete without taking a dip in the swimming pool...he had fun while my legs got tired bending to fit in the kiddie pool.....

Doing all of those got me hungry but I don't want to spend much money for food and decided to use the first voucher that I bought online....I paid 250 for 500 worth of food at cheesecake etc. My sister who is addicted to online shopping gave me 2 more vouchers so I chose sandwiches, pasta, rice and cakes so we can try them all....and guess what?

...I was disappointed

Maybe I have tasted better pastas, sandwiches and cakes that's  why I was not satisfied with it. Oh well, I shouldn't complain 'cos I got a good discount.
Can't wait to experience more first times....
Would it be a laid back trip to Jamaica or staying at the awesome underwater hotel in Fiji?

It surely is nice to dream but whatever first time's gonna happen..make it a good one please :)

Eastwood New Year Staycation

Sorry that I have not been updating my blog post (as if someone reads it  LOL). It's been almost three years I think since I last wrote here that's why I made it my New Year's resolution to fix up my blog and write more often. Don't be surprised if you see stories about my adventures for the past few years since I will be doing a lot of catching up. Let me begin with my Eastwood New Year Staycation. Why Celebrate New Year in Eastwood?  I chose Eastwood City because it is closer to my place making it more accessible and there's a free New Year Countdown concert. I was considering Mall of Asia since they also have a free concert, but I already felt tired just thinking of my travel time and traffic. I originally booked a hotel near Ayala, Makati thinking that they still have a street party. After doing some research, I think they already stopped doing it for a few years now so Eastwood it is! Where to stay in Eastwood Eastwood Richmond Hotel is the most ideal p...

MyHealth Clinic Takes Care of My Health

Getting sick is a real pain in the *** but to wait for a long queue in discomfort and end up with a list of expensive medicines to  buy would definitely make anyone feel more sick! I was glad I have a health card from work so that lessens my worry about the check up and laboratory expenses. I usually go to Medical City Clinic in Trinoma and Waltermart for the check-up but my experience there was not really that good especially in Waltermart, Munoz. The nurses there and attendants seem so laid back (which is a better term for being lazy) and busy chatting with each other. I waited for a long time (around 30 min.) just to have my Maxicare approved and after that I went to the nurse's station to give my papers but the girl was busy on her phone so the guy beside her placed my paper on her table and told me to wait for my name to be called. So I waited for my name to be called and it was almost an hour. I was really wondering why it would take that long just to have my blood extracted ...

Teresita's Halo-Halo and Palabok: Perfect Pinoy Merienda

My mom always brags to me how delicious the halo-halo is at Teresita's that's why I decided to give it a try after a hectic Saturday of hopping from Waltermart to Trinoma and back to Waltermart again. I was supertired, hot and thirsty so the perfect snack would be halo-halo. Teresita's of San Fernando is located at the ground floor of Waltermart in North Edsa. It is near the entrance and supermarket which makes it hard to miss. Parents can also relax there while kids play at the nearby mini-play area.  We ordered 2 regular halo-halo which is worth P85/each and palabok worth P85 too.  I was expecting to get the typical halo-halo with 8 to 10 ingredients, but was surprised to just get three main ingredients which are sweetened banana, macapuno and leche flan plus milk and ice of course. It was all new to me so I was not satisfied at first. I was waiting for the crunch of the pinipig but there was none. As I eat it, I started to enjoy the smoothness of the texture an...
